This book is clearly written and information is easily explainable. This book is great for beginner's who are just starting their family history or for those who are not familiar with FamilySearch.org. However, this book provides little to no new information for those who are more experience with family history research and FamilySearch.org

We can never be too complacent about our research and every chance to improve and find that important record must not be missed. This guide leads us to places not previously thought of and how happy I am to add this volume to my must have list.

This is a very inexpensive way to get started with your family research. I have decided to put-off subscribing to those expensive ancestry sites until I am at some point in dire need of their help. So far, I don't think I will need their help for sometime. This Unofficial Guide is not only a simply way to get started, but holds a fund of information for the novice. I have eight or ten books on the subject, and this is by far the most practical guide to use.

This guide is well written, easy to follow and it has been a big help in using the site for genealogy. I seemed to be at the end for discovering new records but the book has given me new ways to search and discover.

This is a must have for those doing Genealogy on Family Search.org. Full of information i never knew. I strongly recommend this book.

I got this for my husband who is interested in getting into the more difficult parts of Family History, but prefers simplified explanations and directions. He did a lot of research for just the right book and this is the one he chose. Thanks for publishing a simple book for beginners.

Excellent book for the beginner using Family Search

The book describes resources to search for ancestors that are available on the FamilySearch web site.
