I bought this used in good condition, but it was really satisfactory condition. The cover had a rip in it and the corners were bent back a lot. Other than that, it was the best price I could find and there was no highlighting inside of it. I guess I am happy with my purchase.

I had to purchase this book for Nursing school. The price was best on vs other places. The book was good for what we used it for - we had to study it in it's entirety over a 4 week period - so I used this book and it's coordinating website to learn medical terms. We had to lean it very fast, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone, but I made an "A" on all my tests each week! It is definitely a book I will use again and again for reference.I like how each chapter reviews learned terms from previous chapters - repetitiveness helps me learn things better. The book starts off by teaching you basic "root" words in the first few chapters and then moves on to explore a new medical field with each new chapter (example: Oncology, Urology, Neurology, etc.) and terms that would most likely be seen with each. Plus it contains plenty of written exercises to practice putting terms together or being able to recognize terms in the medical field by breaking down their "root" words. Overall, I think this was a good purchase (even if it was required reading for our school).

This is an excellent book--not that big but big enough. Words are broken down: prefix, root word, suffix and so many other ways. I don't have the book right now so I'll do a better review shortly. In the mean time, order the book. You won't be sorry.

When I bought this book, I was brand new in the medical world. I hadn't a single clue about any of terms associated with health care. However, after taking the class associated with this book, I feel immensely more confident in my ability to use medical terminology on a daily basis. This book is essentially teaching another language. Although, I am not fluent in this new language, this book definitely gave me a solid foundation to build upon.

Takes a while to ship from here,But really good deal at my school I would have spent 100 for this book and I got this book brand new for $60 or $70. Amazing deal! I now buy all my books off of . I have saved a ton of money.

Was cheap for a text book and it was exactly the one I needed. It had some writing in it but it was answers to some of the questions. (Not complaining 😉)The layout of this book was super easy to read and super easy to work with with the program I'm using to take this class. The free shipping that came with me buying this book was wonderful too.

I think this book is missing a lot of important stuff, but do you really have a choice when buying the required text book for a class? It does have activities that help to make the content that IS included in the book somewhat fun and easier to learn and remember.

A great resource for nursing (or other health related field) students. Checkpoint activities make the content easy to learn. Well written with great illustrations. CD included.
