Used the digital version on my ipad for a class and it was awesome to use! Love that I could bookmark pages and use search tool for what I needed to look in the entire book for which was so useful for a class.

I am so glad to see the positive reviews for this text. I teach introductory sociology and have used this text for years. I love it! I'm so sorry the prices are so high; as faculty we have no control over that except that I can choose this paperback which is much cheaper than the bigger hardback texts that are around. I was delighted to read that it is helpful in studying for the MCAT!

Besides this being a college book...there is a great depth of experience in here. For the closed minded person, its the"jaws of life" to peel some space open. If you're a conscious person, its a great deal of encouragement and inspiration towards moral responsibility.

Bought for a class. This is a stupid textbook. Obviously if you need it for a class you have to buy it. But the class was stupid too. It was entirely biased toward the views of Karl Marx. This book references him more than anyone else. I might as well have just read the Communist Manifesto. I seriously question the motive of this textbook.

This was my book for my first ever sociology course, and I loved it. Henslin explains the concepts so well, sometimes even better than my professor did. I would definitely recommend for first time sociology students

This book is really easy to read, understand, and entertaining. There are great real life stories and examples threw out the book. All the information is very accurate.

This book would have cost me $180+tax at my daughters university. Bought it here listed as "ACCEPTABLE" for $38 and it is like freaking brand NEW!! It also arrived as promised. Very happy with my purchase!!

The book was exactly what I needed, but the condition of the book was not good. Some post-it notes left inside, tattered pages, and a bent cover.
