I purchased this book for a college class. Typically I purchase books and sell them when I am done. This book I will keep because it is handy and easy to use. The spiral binding make it so I am able to fold it and read only what page I need. The flap can be annoying but it is handy because it will mark your page, and it has pages where all the medication is listed.
Great book once you learn the setup. Plus the table of contents flap is extremely helpful when lookin up multiple drugs. You can use it to hold a spot while seeking other information. A little heavy for such a small book.
The book deserves five stars. The binding deserves zero stars. I am spending half my study time putting this damn book back together after pages slip out of the binding. Especially considering the cost of this book, this issue is unacceptable.
This book is for my psychopharamacology class and is very helpful when diagnosing a case study with all the medication needed for intervention. Clear and understandable reading and each medication is explained in-depth and why it was used for certain disorders.
Dr. Liskow et al have written an excellent review of psychotropic medications. Each chapter is well organized with an appropriate amount of material. I greatly appreciated the references for each key point. Overall, an excellent resource for attending psychiatrists and residents.
This product is very informative and well written. However, the spiral binding leaves a lot to be desired. The book itself should be LARGER. Whenever I turn the pages, the ends rip from the spirals. Eventually, as more pages rip...I'm going to have to dismantle it, place the pages in plastic page protector sheets, and slap the entire book in a 3-ring binder, just to keep it for future reference!!
I love this book so far; it has so much information it about various psychotropic drugs and their impact on clients! It has been such a great resource so far!
An invaluable resource for every clinician. This easy to navigate booklet provides straight forward information about psychotropic drugs and their uses.
