Again required reading for high school student for a steal. Ships fast and a lot less than anywhere else. Plus ships o the house. Perfect for me no running all over the place trying to get the best deal. I recommend checking here befor buying from anywhere else you will save money.
This is an excellent series. We have been using for tutoring for the last several years. Good words, although many are not words that would be used in every day conversation, doesn'at hurt to be knowledgable.
This Vocab book is usefull and some of its exercises do help the student to memmorize the information. But, some of the examples and Reading Comprehension articles are out dated, seeing as the book hasn't been updated in 13 years. Also, the grouping of asignments to make them better fit do make it more difficult to take tests as the words highly similar. But overall its not really that bad. I've found myself using and reading alot of the words I've learned from this Vocabulary book.
We use this as a school vocab book as freshmen. Since all of the words in the section basically mean the same thing it is hard to be tested on them... It may teach new words to you but none that most people i know have never or will ever use in a normal sentence

Students can always use more vocabulary practice. I use this as a supplemental text and I find that there are a lot of the words that are helpful in ACT preparation.
this is a pretty good book to study/learn vocabulary at a high school level
This workbook in conjunction with the lessons in school have proved to be quite effective in expanding my childs vocabulary.
