Israel Betrayed paints a very dreary picture of what lays ahead for the US relationship with Israel under a Hillary presidency. Alan Skorski shows us the relationships between Hillary Clinton and the most dangerous anti-Israel activists who will clearly influence her policies. Like Barack Obama before her, she will treat Netanyahu or any Israeli Prime Minister as the villain and demand they make the first move towards peace without making any demands on the Palestinians. As Skorski points out, rather tragically, groups like J Street blame Israel for Middle East turmoil. It was heart breaking to read how may prominent Jewish groups are willing to throw Israel under the bus. Whether it's the ADL or Reform Rabbinical leadership, the Jewish Left have sold their souls to the Democrat agenda of "betraying Israel."

Alan Skorski shows in great detail how the Democratic Party – elected officials and voters, view Israel as the “obstacle to peace and stability,” completely dismissing the real threats that Israel faces everyday from Palestinian terrorism. J Street, which served the Obama Administration well in advancing his anti-Israel agenda, will continue under a Hillary Clinton presidency. The chapter on pundit Peter Beinart is illuminating in exposing the mindset of someone who describes themselves as a “liberal Zionist.” While Beinart is a favorite Israel-basher in liberal circles, the depth of his hatred for Israel is widely unknown in the mainstream. Alan Skorski does an excellent job in exposing the man Rabbi Boteach accuses of “making his reputation by attacking Israel.” It is also interesting to read how prominent liberal professor Alan Dershowitz, who has voted for Barack Obama twice, is on record condemning Israel-critics like Sid Blumenthal, J Street, Media Matters and Center for American Progress, as being the most dangerous anti-Israel groups in America today, as these are part of Hillary Clinton’s inner circle.
The author really covered all the bases in this book – highlighting and exposing all the main players who will be active in guiding Hillary Clinton’s agenda on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. As Alan Skorski writes, many Arab leaders, past and present, have stated that they will never reconcile with the idea of two-states living side by side. Even as Barack Obama and Secretary of State Clinton attempted to blame Israeli for the stalemated “peace process,” Palestinian leaders were encouraging more violence against Israeli civilians. Skorski cites every quote and provides the sources, leaving the reader with no question as to the accuracy of his research. It is scary and depressing to see that besides having to defend against Arab and media propaganda against Israel’s legitimacy, that there are powerful and influential Left-wing Jews so aggressively attacking Israel.
