I purchased this "book" thinking it would help me learn a few things about being a new military spouse. The only things I learned are the following:1. You can write a book without an editor. There are numerous grammatical errors in this book and I could not get through the first few pages without cringing. Plus, the font size is offensive. Unless this was written for my grandma, there is no reason anything should be printed in a font that large.2. The chapter about maintaining your career as a military spouse had ZERO helpful information. This chapter was how to find a job and write a resume. Helpful hints about changing jobs every couple of years or other information on being a career military spouse would have been way more useful. Clearly no research was done.3. There is nothing about a "modern" spouse nor is this ever explained. The authors wasted their opportunity to create a book that could appeal to many "modern" spouses and the challenges of military life.The authors encourage you to share the book when you are done. Oh I shared it... But the belly laughs we had after reading chapters out loud were most likely not for the reasons they had intended.
This book is great for older people starting to join the military life as a spouse I could use any tips that I could possibly get in this book provided those things seems like a lot of stigma is put on military spouses in this kind of ends at I thought it refreshing and focuses.
