One damned fine read. Spoiler alert.This one starts with a murder. The murder victim is Vinnie Pastorini. Pastorini is spec ops and a member of Delta, the Unit.Vinnie who was always a gambler and this time his losses got him in trouble with the Bimini Bay Casino in Atlantic City. A casino run by Donatello Carbonari and Martijn Van Gries his CFO.Vinnie and his girlfriend Patsy took a second mortgage out on the house they own to get the money to pay off his debts. Trouble is once Vinnie was in the casino he just knew he could win. Well he won some, but lost more. A fight ensued with casino security. Vinnie being spec ops was more than capable of defending himself but when the odds are twelve to one he was over powered. Vinnie now owes $275,000 dollars.Patsy calls the one man she knows who can help get Vinnie out of the mess he's made. His former CO Robert Burke.Bob is 5'8" and weighs one hundred and fifty pound. He's a guy absolutely no one would ever think was a special operations operator never mind a member of the Unit. He was the smallest guy on his team. He was the commander of that team. A man who always took care of his men. His call sign was Ghost and that says it all. When he gets the call from Patsy he gets the money and heads for Atlantic City along with his new wife LInda.Bob had retired from the Army three years earlier when he married Angie, his first wife. His father in law chose him to head up the company, TeleCom, that he owned. He knew he couldn't leave it to his spend a holic, irresponsible daughter so he left it to Bob. A man who started at the bottom of the company and worked his way up learning as he went. Bob graduated third in his class at West Point so a dummy he ain't.
