Very quick and easy to use. Good format. However there are a few errors. If you are already good at Spanish you can fix them yourself. Page 26 has multiple errors regarding words for positioning. Page 75 spelling error "pnerle" should be ponerle. If you are in need of a quick medical translation, this is still worth it despite the errors.
I would like to start by saying that I am fluent in Spanish, and I find that it helps to supplement those phrases or words that don't come to mind. It is really small so it fits in your pocket! Would definitely recommend to new speakers and fluent speakers as well.
As an EMT who has (sadly) seemed to forget several years worth of Spanish courses - and now finding myself dealing with a great deal of the Spanish-speaking public - this is exactly what was needed!This quick reference guide DOES have some conjugation errors (please refer to Chris' review below for specifics), but overall it has (most of) the specific phrases I need to be able to communicate the facts (& in many cases, time is critical!). This makes it essential to have with me on the day-to-day.What was unclear (before I looked at Chris' photos) is whether or not it was the same spiral-bound, with plastic coated pages, pocket version I have seen in stores ..and it is - that makes it the perfect size to either slide in a pocket or put in one of the small pockets of my jump bag. Great product, arrived in the exact time frame expected. Thanks!
This is a great book for ALL healthcare providers to carry. It has assessment questions and almost any word that you could need when asking questions during an H&P. The entire campus uses them now-- that's how good they are!
Small compact size is nice, fits in my purse or backpack with ease. Pages are organized by subject matter which is helpful for learning and review. Pages are made of strong paper that is coated and will last a long time.
this book is a very useful tool for those looking to interpret in a medical, ie hospital or doctor's office, setting. easy to find the words you are looking for and small enough to fit inside your pocket.
My wife works as a nurse and often is called on to interpret in various situations. Medical jargon can be difficult, even for native Spanish speakers. She uses this manual frequently and speaks very highly of it. Also, much cheaper than at B&N.
As a nurse I've found this pocket reference to be a speedy way to find common phrases in a hurry... faster than using the Eng-Spa dictionary in my PDA. I would also recommend it for use if you travel to Spanish speaking countries. It is very useful when you are the patient and there is a language deficit.
