Textbooks can be so droll and dry, this one has has the practical presented but at the same time integrates case studies throughout that correlate to the topic. Said case studies are well related to the chapter topics and having them sprinkled throughout the book is pleasant. Doctor Hickey's past experience makes this a textbook written by someone who has had practical application of the subject matter. I would probably find this book to be interesting without having it related to a class.
Text book for an elective class in my MS degree program.... Very insightful, but also very intense.... Not a lite read but a good one.
