For me, the point of having flashcards are two-fold:(1) To easily make a subset of the terms / concepts / whatever I don't know, so that I can concentrate on them. This requirement is fulfilled. The cards are pre-punched and come with 2 rings which allow you to make separate stacks.(2) Portability. I guess this depends on what you mean by "portable." The cards are 4x6, and 2 stacks will fit side-by-side in the back pocket of the Five Star Zipper Pencil Pouch (ASIN: B003O3IQGK), so I can take them to sit-down places to study, such as a cafe or library. However, they do not easily fit into scrub pants pockets. My scrubs are large on me (I need petite sizing), and the cards barely fit when I'm standing. They're not too comfortable if I'm sitting down, and they weigh my pants down. Honestly, I don't know why the cards are so big. I think that many of them can be cut in half; I often make my own study / reference cards for different subjects which contain much more information and sometimes labeled diagrams, and I use the same size cards. With that said, here are some things I do like about the cards:(1) The cards are labeled and color-coded according to whether it is a prefix, word root / combining form, or suffix.(2) An example term is given for each prefix, word root / combining form, or suffix. However, since this is on the same side of the card as the answer for word part, it makes studying in the other direction ("which prefix means XYZ?") less convenient, as you have to keep the bottom half of the card covered.(3) The example term is broken down into its prefix, word root / combining form, and suffix.(4) There are pictures to illustrate the example term. Some of them are photographs, some of them are cartoons.
