This book has a lot of great material in it to prepare you for the Pharmacy Technician's test.You will need additional books to help you with the math part of the test. Only if you need additional help in the math area.There are a few mistakes in the book but overall it has great study areas.
Excellent text. I bought this to study for the PTCB. It helped me pass the test. The book has most of the information you need to know for the test. In combination with "Mosby's Review for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination", It had everything covered.
This was a required reading prior to entering pharmacy school since not everyone had worked in a pharmacy and to level the playing field. This was a very informative book and very helpful. It gives a general overview of the pharmacy technician's roles, but it also went into related fields in the profession. Materials included medical terminology, pharmacy laws, some math, areas of practice like hospital or community, and pharmacology. This was a useful study guide to start pharmacy school with. I imagine it also helps for the test to become a pharmacy technician, though you might need other study materials for the math part
I like this book since I got it for two weeks. This book gives a general overview of the Pharmacy Technician and other related fields in the profession such as medical terminology, pharmacy laws, math, areas of practice (examples: community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, etc), pharmacology, etc.Recently, I have found other books that goes more in depths on medical terminology, pharmacy law, pharmaceutical calculations, and pharmacology when I bought the books for my classes for the next semester.I would recommend this book to those who are interested in Pharmacy Technician or curious about the profession.
This is a fantastic book for aspiring Pharmacy Techs. Loaded with useful information to prepare you for the Certification Exam. I recommend reading it 2 to 3 times because there is a lot to remember, but if I can do it, you can too. I'll be taking the exam soon and I'm positive I'll pass because of this book!
This book is provided from the company I work for and it's a good book to set the foundation for the exam. However, a math book and review test book will help guarantee a pass.
