This is a reprint of one of Spencer's "copy books." It is intended for use by those who already KNOW the Spencerian Penmanship and just want to practice it. It is NOT a teaching tool, but a practice tool ONLY. Please be sure you understand this or it will prove very disappointing. offers another title that is called something like "The Theory of Spencerian Penmanship" for one or two dollars more. THAT work was meant for home-study of this method and will satisfy many learners. HOWEVER, the best book on the subject was written by Michael Sull (1992-93) and don't know if it is available through . It is $15 and the definitive work on Spencerian penmanship.
