Very thorough. Lots of information on treatment, not just for pain, and included information on SL ophthalmic drops for reducing the "death rattle," which I have rarely read in texts (but anyone working in hospice knows). Got the information I needed from an experienced hospice nurse, but this provided me with additional information and is a great resource for the future. These Tarascon books are very nice!
I do really like this book. It has easy reference for opiate conversions, and refreshers on ethical decision making.I wish it had more information on cancer drugs and chemotherapy. As many of us in palliative medicine know, it is a must to stay involved in the field of oncology to most effectively take part in our patients' care, as so many of our palliative patients are afflicted with different cancers. Overall though, handy little book, great size, and I did not have any issues reading the print. I thought it was good size text and comparable to other pocket reference books.

Recently got a job as a hospice pharmacist. I find this reference extremely useful when I need to look up a quick recommendation. Small enough to keep in my pocket or bag and the information has been correct each time I have double checked with a source I know to be correct (ex: Lexicomp or UpToDate). Great resource and I would recommend to anyone in the palliative care field
This point is very helpful for a quick look up of info and new treatment considerations for PC.When will we have the mobile version? I carry all my medical resources this way.
Great e-book. It is concise and easy to navigate. However, the index is not linked to the pages, and the reader is referred to the Table of Contents or search feature which is a problem. This should have been disclosed in the description of the e-book. The index is only available with corresponding pages in the hard copy. I think if this were remedied I would give the book five stars.
