The Palliative care was put on my Kindle and so far I have read the first four chapters and it is excellent. It goes through core measures for palliative care. Each chapture devotes time to assessment and there are also excellent resources. I am glad I purchased it and I am sure that this book will help me with passing the exam in October 2012.
I have been practicing hospice and palliative care for over 20 years and this book provides both the functional information I need as well as some thought provoking challenges to move the field forward. I recomment this book to be on every clinicians shelf (or i-pad).
This is a great book, but the writing is so small that it is hard to read. It is packed full of information which nurses should know if they are dealing with hospice patients. It is really helpful, but the writing is so small that I have a hard time staying interested in reading it.
Terrific book with excellent and relevant articles, and good case examples. Highly recommended for anyone working in the field of palliative care.
