Anyone involved in anesthesia generally recognizes the Mass Gen. as the best pocket reference out there. This new edition is no different. When you need something fast b/c it has slipped your mind, this is the 'goto' book.I highly recommend it to all MD/DOs, CRNAs & SRNAs.
Please don't buy this book based on the reviews for the previous edition.While the contents are still good (and not much changed), the format of the new edition is downright stupid. They increased the size of the white margins and the thickness of the paper (to decrease manufacturing costs?), resulting in a probably 50% increase in weight and cross-sectional area. Definitely not a portable/pocket book anymore.Do yourself a favor and buy a cheap used version of the previous edition. You'll thank me later.
this book is the best concise operating room anesthesia reference available.anything bigger would be too large, it is not designed to teach but more to remind.
Read this book from cover to cover over winter break before the start of clinicals. (DNP, CRNA program). Was a very good review with excellent key points. Well written and compact. I plan on using this as my only reference to bring to clinical sites with me.
This is well known book among anesthesiologist, worth its price. Every edition consists accurat information about procedures and techics in anestesia.

I bought this book for my mac and iPhone kindle to have as a quick reference. The index doesn't have page numbers! This may be fine for a Sunday afternoon read, but it's completely worthless as a on the go quick reference. The lack of navigation renders this handbook useless.
pretty much everybody I know in anesthesiology has this book. great handbook, being potentially superceded by the proliferation of apps for iPod Touch. However, this is a standard work to have on hand. very helpful book.
