Well written, easy to understand guide to many aspects of palliative care, with particular insight on the impact on nursing care providers. Being a hospice house nurse, some of the ethical conundrums have been sorted out before patients arrive at my door, but the end-of-life chapters were insightful and spot on to my practice. I have passed this on to my co-workers for there enlightenment as well.
Holding an RN license and also further credentials I needed significant continuing education units to renew. This book was suggested on a nursing renewal website. I purchased it used and it was just what was needed.
This book made you dig deep down into your soul to see what you want to happen in this instances and situations. Very good book especially the case studies.
