You can get all of these letters for free on the Berkshire Hathaway website. However, I am a paper in hand kind of guy. And this book is a heck of a lot better than printing them off. I like to take notes and highlight text.
If you want to make your adventures on the bourse a happy outcome then reading Buffet's "Letters to shareholders" is compulsory. This is particularly so for indians because India is today where USA was in the early seventies when Buffet was beginning to hit his stride. Buffet is a typical american male of his generation from the midwest which means that his knowledge of the world outside of the USA is almost zero. But that is of no consequence as the laws of money and wealth creation are universal and timeless.This book can be used by you as the bible of capitalism.
This is a must read for anyone who is interested in investing and management. The book traces the Buftett era at Berkshire Hathaway.Granted, a person can obtain all letters from 1977-present at the Berkshire web site for free. The site, however, does not include letters from the 1965-77. In addition, it is nice to have a bounded copy of these letters.Anyway, whether you buy this book or read them on the web site, it is well worth your time. 5 stars+ for what you will learn from reading the,.
Although most of these letters are available on the Berkshire site, I recommend the Kindle version for convenience and completeness. The letters are a must read for anyone attempting to invest money. In this book Warren Buffett explains his thought processes when assessing whether to invest. These letter elucidate how his thought processes changed over time. They are full of humorous quips and quotes that drive the points home.
If you're an investor, you need this book. Keep reading the section in the 2011 Letter to Shareholders where Buffett talks about why he and Charlie hope IBM's stock price languishes for a few years. Read it over and over until it makes sense to you. When it finally sinks in, it will be as if you've earned a degree from Buffett College. An amazing collection from an amazing investor. These are all available for free on the Berkshire Hathaway website, but for three bucks? Come on... :)
A true gem! I love this book or the collection of letters to shareholders. It reassured me how I should be looking at the investments. It also gave me insight on how insurance business was run and makes me think how those big guys think when they write policies. Also I learned Warren Buffet is very well read and intelligent from the letters he has written to his shareholders. Thank you!!
These letters are available on Berkshire Hathaway website, but one would not read them sincerely except in the form of a book.I strongly recommend this one to all investment professionals. Many investing concepts simplified.These letters are addressed to the shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway, so not so technical that retail investors cannot understand. I suggest all investors should read these letters.
