This is a good, general dictionary. I'm in an upper division Macroeconomics course and in the week I've been using this dictionary, I have already identified shortcomings. For example, you can find at he definition for the substitution effect (SE) in this dictionary, but it does not distinguish between the SE of a higher real wage vs. SE of the real interest rate in saving. Though this is a good reference for general business and general economics, I will likely purchase an Economics only dictionary to ensure I have all the information I require for Econ coursework.
This one makes sense for just about anyone, whether you are a business student or just need to know a few things dealing with your landlord (that works in the reverse too). As a kindle book, it is a must have because you can find just about anything related to can business and make avoid a complex conversation at say an insurance office or maybe make sure your real estate agent is on the up and up. In other words, it is one of those books that makes sense for people in the field and those who might need to know what time value money is or net present value so that things are crystal clear in contracts. Just like their work on finance it covers a lot more than what you might think and is less hefty now that it is digital. One thing I did was enable it on the back-end of one of my kindle fires as the primary dictionary which makes it great for research and reference versus say an english dictionary. Powerful and small, this is a hell of a price for a great deal of information in a format that makes sense. Glad to see this digital because now my backpack will be lighter too.
The scope of this book is far more than its size would have the reader believe. Descriptions and explanations of terms from many aspects of business are right here in this book. It is written in simple, understandable language for lay persons. For anyone who is simply interested, or have to deal with the industries of business, banking, finance, investment, taxes, real-estate appraisals, and business-related computer technology, this book is a time-saver and instant guide. Highly recommended

The Dictionary of Business and Economics Terms is a very comprehensive book on the language of business. I have learned a lot and am well satisfied with it.
