This is an ideal companion for any medical student, resident, or attending physician who is caring for patients with pain. Not only does this book address all the "give this medication for this type of pain" management of pain, but it also provides a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management such as adjuvant therapies, modalities, physical and occupational therapy recommendations, and much more. Furthermore, there are methods explained to better understand and diagnose the cause of pain in order to better treat it. By exploring anatomy, patient's history, and exam findings, this book really helps you take a more hollistic approach to patient care. As a PM&R resident, I use this everyday. Pretty quick read and most of the information seems relevant. Its not a great reference text, but it probably is a good introductory book, which is what I sued it for.
