I bought this book based on 's description alone (and after "peeking" at the TOC) and it ended up being the best multiples book I purchased. It is basically just a book full of helpful tips for multiple mommmies-to-be. I am expecting triplets (my first children) and I really didn't have anyone to go to for questions specific to multiples. I found the chapters on baby products (i.e. what to buy, what not to buy) extremely helpful. There's also a whole chapter on companies that provide freebies to multiple families, so you can go ahead and get your letters ready to mail out before the babies are here! The registry checklist in the back of the book was also a huge help - I had no idea what things I would need 3 of and what things I could get by with just 1. Reading this book was like talking to a very helpful mother of multiples who could give you the inside scoop on everything! I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone preparing for multiple babies!
This book gave a lot of good insight and advice for anyone having multiples. I only wish I had read it at the very beginning of my pregnancy as a lot of the stuff in it was pertaining to things you should do to prepare for the multiples.
We had triplets and both my husband and I enjoyed reading this book. It's an easy read because it isn't in paragraph form but breaks it into bulleted points. It is easy to reference and has many great ideas and resources to use if you have multiples. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is have or has multiples!
This is my favorite twin/multiples book! The author is herself an identical twin and then has triplets. Lynn gave the most practical lists, things to think through regarding bed rest, birth, NICU, feeding, sleeping etc. She does it in a very non-judgemental way, and many times gives pros/cons or a perspective other than her own. It deals with both the practical logistics as well as the emotional and physical aspect of carrying and parenting multiples.Additionally, I received a $10 coupon from Double Blessings for their breast feeding pillow - the most eco friendly and healthy one out there. (and even comes with a Velcro privacy cover!)
I was a little disappointed with this book. It did have a lot of good tips and advise, but it seems to favor the Stay at Home Mom. Advise like putting off your shower until the babies are down for a morning nap really doesn't work for me since I will have to get myself and three babies to daycare and work by 8am.
I have triplets & bought this when I was pregnant. I had no idea how useful & practical the tips would be until the babies came. Highly recommend.
