good reference book, some topics not covered (not alot of space for rhematologic stuff, but really thats not why i bought this book), but good companion to marinos book (which is more theory and the art of critical care). This book has alot of hard numbers and cut offs, which is hard to find in critical care.

I have waited for Parrillo's new edition for years. I loved the old one, a book with less than 100 chapters, very well written, objective and fun to read. The new book is a joy to read too! An excelent review of the greatest themes of ICU written by the stars of the specialty.
