Upon reading a lot of these comments, it's quite telling that an alarming amount of people who gave it stellar reviews didn't actually read these books. Fake/paid reviewers should at least try to sit through the horrible mess like the rest of us did. Many synopsis aren't even close to what actually happens in these books. The sophomoric dialog is so utterly painful to read and what you get for sex scenes feels like a remedial teenager wrote them ...."He was soon naked with his swinging trumpet of love ready to sing a tune between my legs." At one point, it's called "a skin flute." There are so many 'wtf' moments, I actually feel embarrassed that I kept on reading it. There is nothing really tying these two (*very* one dimensional) characters together except they keep on telling each other how awesome the other one is...in very long-winded sentences, but only during sex. It's actually hard to describe how bad these books are -it's really that bad. I have never once given a book only one star, though these books should get a zero and a (very much needed) editor. I truly hope this writer gets some help because I truly dislike leaving such a scathing review.
I'm convinced that the other reviews were paid for or faked. This was a horrible mess. The dialog made me question the IQ of all the characters and the writer. I'm actually insulted and that is a first! I expected a lot more given the reviews and I was sorely disappointed. If I am thinking the phrase, "This is so stupid!", while reading the book....that's not promising. The reactions and actions of the heroine were so unrealistic that I wondered if she was a junior high student. The characters were one dimensional and the story dragged on like watching paint dry. I'm am so glad that I subscribe to kindle unlimited. I would have been pissed if I had spent coins on this.
There are a lot of interesting characters is this book. As for the main character, she faced a lot of struggles and it was easy to get emotionally attached to her. I love how her life changes and the plot takes a different turn many times. I would recommend this for anyone into romance books.
I had read couple of alien romance stories before but this one is unique. Lake Vespertine township has twelve full-time inhabitants, though others come through every once in a while to take in the scenery or simply escape civilization for a while. Before there was any kind of law and order in the area, Lake Vespertine was a hangout for gangsters, escaped prisoners and just about every other kind of criminal element you can imagine.
I do love to read romance stories, especially a sci-fi one. It is a great bargain for everyone to have this four books because each one do have a unique way of telling a story. Adrenaline rushing, heart pounding and a steamy one for everyone to read. It will surely not let your expectations to fall. You will going to have a great time reading it. This books will not waste your precious time and money. It will give you the entertainment your searching for.
The romance is really wonderful!I keen on reading stories like this. I am very happy for having all these four books because each one has a unique and special way of telling an incredible story. Adrenaline rushing, heart pounding and a steamy one for everyone to read. Everyone will be 100% satisfied reading the book! Reading it you don't see time passing.It is really worth reading!I highly recommend it to everyone!
This love story had a beginning and flowed to a very nice ending. Even though we know the alien gets his queen, it had a few plot twists that keep it excited. This was a really different take in the romance storyline and it was wonderful. I liked the world building. This book was clever and witty! I really enjoyed it and hope to see more from this author. I loved the world building! A techno-organic world with a different culture had some ideas I'd never read before.
I love to read romance of all genres. Alien romance to leave on me a special experience and I really love reading them. This book is very good, full of surprises, with a good story line. I really enjoyed in these stories, and so far, this set of alien stories for me is the best. For all those who love the exciting alien romances, I recommend this set.
