A great book that describes the state of the art from the perspective of medical experts, but unfortunately it does not comprise experts from the discipline of M&S as well. This leaves the focus on the application domain, which is like looking only at the spokes of a wheel without understanding the hub: something is missing. But the application domains are covered well.
A must for anyone seriously interested in healthcare simulation. I'm not far enough along in the book to say whether or not it really deserves the adjective "comprehensive".I found the Kindle version not very usable. It's not too bad on my notebook PC, but the formatting and layout on the Kindle Fire and the Surface Pro app are excruciatingly and inexcusably bad. I ended up getting the paper version.
Excellent extremely comprehensive. Well written easy to read. Must have for sim educators. Great resource to have for new and advanced.
