No explanation needed. A major reason why the United States of America is the greatest country in the world.
I bought this for a class on The Constitution and it was just what I needed. It has been a long time since I studied the constitution and I had forgotten a lot. This clarified everything and helped me to understand why we have the laws we have.
This is a document to be studied....and taken seriously. Not one to bend or disregard.
This is a nicely done version of these two important American documents. The leather-style cover is both flexible (making it easy to keep in a pocket) and promises to hold up against wear and tear. The introduction provides a good overview of the evolutionary process, from the Declaration to the Articles of Confederation (also included here) to the Constitution and gives the reader some idea of the times in which these documents were written and the struggle between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. The book is printed on good quality paper and is bargain for a book of this type.
The United States has a wonderfully short constitution. Sometimes its a bit vague, so we enjoy arguing about its real meaning, but its served us well. And yet, we often argue about it without knowing what it really says. Do your self a favor and read it.
I really think this is a book that every American should have and read. All Americans should know and understand what this country is all about, we have had so many Americans give there lives so we can have a Constitution for the People by the People.
I was hoping the quality would be a little better. The "leather" arrived a tad bit damaged with an indentation running down the whole length of the book. The content is solid though. The size is not thay great. Its an annoying in the middle sized book. The print is of good size. Waited a week which is more than i usually do for goods.
Can't possibly go wrong with this document. How wonderful were our founders to birth a document such as this!
