I had never been exposed to this document in public school or in college. I found the thinking quite interesting in how our founding fathers wanted to form the country. The most surprizing here was that there was an article in how to incorporate Canada into the confederacy. They were apparantly expecting the Canadians to join the war for independence.
It is something that every high school student should read and studied along with the Constitution. Too many kids do not knowwhat the Constitution is nor how it was formed.
The "Articles of Confusion" are a great place to start for any high school or college aged youth to see what to avoid when setting up a government. Nevertheless, an important document that served as the constitution from 1781 to 1789 when our present day constitution took over!
This book gave me a better understanding an . Respect of what our founding fathers went through in forming this country. It should be a required read for all.
Highly recommended, if you're looking for answers to the present political situation in our country.
It is historical. It is a good representation of the way they looked at things at the time. It give the reader an idea of why they set things up the way they did.
