I purchased it new and I CAN"T access the EVOVLE online resources. It only has a QR scan box but no access code! Any suggestions...I've got a college class exam on tuesday directly linked to EVOVLE.....
I actually think this is a very good textbook. It is straight-forward and very easy to read. It goes over basic anatomy and some basic physiology but you can skip these portions if you did well in those classes. It also has describes some diagnostic tests and diseases which is nice to see how these terms can be applied. Sections are broken down into the systems of the body (i.e., cardiovascular system, blood system, immune system, etc) and you learn the medical terms that apply to each accordingly. I only wish this book was offered in hard cover.
This book is amazing! Register for the free content that comes with the book. You can play all kinds of interactive games on there and it is a great tool to learn. The only thing that I didn't like about the book is that there are not all of the answers as you are building words, just the page numbers were you can find the separate roots and suffixes. Overall though this is a great buy. The whole book is set up like a workbook where you keep building on what you learn.

I taught Medical Terminology for 5 years using this textbook and hundreds of men and women have used it to learn the medical language for job preparation. Need for school and is very well written with helpful study material. Couldnt beat the price either on campus and other sites like Chegg it was still $100. $70 was such a deal!
