Before reading this book, Prison House was by far my favorite. The difference though is how much broader of a discussion that Modernist Papers encompasses. Through a lens of literary critique, Modernism is more illustrated than defined. The relationship between language and imagery is at the foreground of a very comprehensive collection of essays that can be read in any order.
