As a professional psychiatric mental health nurse, it is essential to stay on top of changes in the profession as well as finally much clearer and more interesting interpretations of the historical research our professional ancestors gave to us! If you are interested in this and writing chapters in the future, this is a good place to start. We need a chapter on Disaster Mental Health for nurses, a new and burgeoning field much needed.

Great basic review/overview. Used this text to study for my PMHN-BC. Also use it as a resource as an ADN nurse instructor. Love the format - a relavant but basic overview of each topic. Not a comprehensive or advanced text - but a great overview / starter text. Clean clear language, direct, topical, and useful. LOVE the incusion of Peplau

This text isn't my favorite because it takes all similar disorders and put interventions all together. It's difficult alittle to know what intervention applies to what. I like my information organized in a particular way. In stead I used the Saunders nclex review book, which has a psych section, and I understand the information so much better! It breaks it down by each disorder to the interventions for that disorder. This book was ok, but not organized in the best way that I would like it to be.

The book was delivered in a padded envelope with a label attached. The book is exactly as described in the ad. It was new! I look forward to working with them again. Got it before classes started Yahoo!

I have found this textbook very easy to read. The psych care plan book that goes along with this textbook was also great in helping me to create some nursing care plans. I recommend both of them.

This book was a class requirement for my nursing program. Not sure if I will need to keep it or will resell it. So I am glad carrys this item. I was able to save 10% - 20% off the bookstore prices even with the shipping cost added in.

This is one of the worst books I've ordered. To state it might have some writing in it was an understatement. There is writing ALL over the book. Every page, every box, etc. I paid way too much for what I received.

Got me through my class very informative easy to read and to understand great review questions with a strong online support for more learning I am glad I made the purchase
