"Yao and Artusio's Anesthesiology: Problem-Oriented Patient Management, Seventh Edition" is the classic preparatory textbook used to study for the ABA oral board examination. It is a superb textbook, which is exceedingly well-written, well-illustrated, and well-organized, and most of its chapters focus on specific organ systems. The problem-oriented approach to patient management has always been the most logical and systematic technique for organizing and administering clinical care. "Yao and Artusio's Anesthesiology: Problem-Oriented Patient Management, Seventh Edition" is certainly one of the finest textbooks in the specialty of Anesthesiology, and I give it my very highest recommendation.
I found this to be the best book to use in preparation for the oral boards. It helps to think and use it like a mock oral by reading the questions first, constructing your answer and reading Yao's answer. If you really want to get the most bang for the buck, do this with another person also studying for orals, taking turns as examiner. Really will hone your skills.
My absolute favorite anesthesia reference, particularly for neuro, pedi surgical emergencies and pulmonary issues. Love the question and answer format. Highly recommend for all students of anesthesia as well as practitioners.
As a 3rd year anesthesia resident, this is the best overall textbook I have read so far. Very strong on clinical concepts and approach, easy to read. It is lacking in pharmacology, but that is expected based on the approach the book is geared towards and easy enough to pick up I other texts. Highly recommended.

Well written, concise, easy to read and offers many clinical anesthesia implications for anesthesia students. I have a paper copy and a copy on inkling.
With Michael Ho book are good Oral Board preparation tools. I won't say it is a good solo source, it is more of a reference.
