this is a nicely illustrated book for basic skin anatomy, but it is lacking the real reasons for choosing particular dressings. it might be helpful to someone who is totally unfamiliar with wound care, but if you have a little experience (20 years here)this is a fairly useless text for the price. good for a nursing student perhaps.
I'm a Med-surgical RN and this book is great to use when doing wound care, it has great pictures and you learn alot about vascular ulcers and the good things and not so good things about several different types of dressings!
This book has everything you need to know about wound care, assessment, management and treatment. The images give a clearer view of specific wounds. This book is perfect for students or for beginning practitioners.
This is a great book. It is easy to understand and well illustrated. It would great for nursing students or nurses seeking to further their understanding of the basics or simply "brush up" . My only complaint is the book often tells you to refer to the physicians orders. In my case, I don't have a physician to refer to, so a bit detail would be nice! (This is not an advanced care book, only an introduction).
