Many of the one-liners are not worth reading. However, some to the full-length jokes are very good. My favorite is the one about the Japanese girl in an American history class. I have told this joke several times. It always causes great laughter from those who hear it. Enjoy this book! It is at a bargain price.
This book doesn`t contain dirty jokes they are good jokes with little perkyness to them.Its higly recommended if you like to laugh or people expect something funny from you or you enjoy someone with sense of humor .I have read many joke books and by far it is THE BEST not One of best .It is published with bold and normal fonts that makes reading a breeze.New era of comedy isn`t about one-liners but sharing stories and experiences and this book offer plenty of that too .Perfect MixHighly Recoomended Loved it
A mini-classic of standard, sometimes even side-splitting, and often dated humor in a "different" format - great buy as a USED book - like most books I buy on . The savings make me smile as much as the jokes...
Whether a comedian or not who doesn't need a joke now and then to spice up ones act, presentation or just an ice breaker for your next cocktail party or barbecue? Now I'm not say steal these jokes people. but as a comedian when ever I suffer a writers block reading other peoples jokes or anything humorous helps me get back on track. Many a time I've been hired by corporate executives to punch up their boring presentations or even wedding toast. With a joke for almost every occasion you can't go wrong. As a stress reliever jokes have been found to have great healing power. My advice get this book, read 3 jokes and call me in the morning. Laughter is the best medicine. I just hope this book doesn't put me out of a job, it's that good.
I am a student of comedy and jokes. Out of "over 2000" jokes, stories, etc. I found several hundred really funnyjokes, stories, etc., which is a surprisingly high percentage compared to other joke books (of which I have readprobably 85-90). Well worth the time. There are some real gems in this Friars Club Encyclopedia.
I found the book was able to provide me with much needed new material that I can entertain/torture my friends with.
Very funny, as was 1st ed. Wide range of topics and twists.
I smiled and laughed through the whole Encyclopedia!
