Maybe I'm missing something, but the kindle version is terrible! The pages do not line up with the printed version so I cannot follow along in class. The set up is COMPLETELY different. All my other textbooks set up just like the printed version in my kindle. Not sure why this one does not.
If you have the choice, totally get the 2-volume set! It's split roughly into equal sections so it makes carrying a probably already heavy backpack that much nicer. Chapters are actually organized fairly well. If you nursing program is like mine, then likely the first few chapters are pretty much filler for stuff in your fundamentals of nursing course. It does a fairly good job of refreshing your basic A&P stuff in each chapter of the body systems which, at least for me, was helpful since my anatomy/physiology was never that great.
The book itself may be great. JUST DON'T BUY THE KINDLE EDITION. If you value your sanity, just buy the physical version. The kindle version DOESN'T HAVE PAGE NUMBERS, only locations. It is almost impossible to find what material you are supposed to be reading for class. Doing a "keyword" search is useless because you get a billion results. ALSO support was no help. They have no way to figure out how the page numbers correlate to "locations" and blamed it on the publisher. Along with that since I got the book a few days before I actually needed it or tried to use it, they won't let me return it and get the physical book. Losing faith in ...
Not happy with the 1 volume book that I received. The pages were different. Some of the pages are written in entirely in blurred bold print, some pages have blue tape across them. It is very difficult reading the text when every time you turn a page you are going from regular print to blurred print, to bold, and some with blue tape.
The kindle version is terrible - there are NO page numbers, only locations, so you can't go along with the assigned reading. You can't return the book either. Additionally, some of the tables and images are too small to view properly You also really cannot search within the book in an organized way. STAY AWAY from this version, buy the hard copy.
In the description it states the Evolve access came with the book, yet I do not have am access code. The book is in great condition but I need the access code in order to succeed in the class.
Definitely recommend purchasing this book in the 2 book volume set... I have friends who purchased it as just the single book with both volumes in one and it is super heavy to carry around. Breaks everything down and really prepares you for nursing exams!
One of the best textbooks I've had! My professor is really adamant about us reading it quite thoroughly and I enjoy to do so. The fact that they split it into two products really secures this as a five star book! The price felt almost justified for the textbook world!
