Human history in 50 events? Yeah, well of course those would have to be the most significant ones, but I bet a lot of learned scholars and historians find that debatable. Anyway, this book definitely contains a great selection of some of the best ones, ranging from Alexander the Great to Copernicus and Adolf Hitler. I think estimates and calculations of 200,000 before Christ are ridiculous, since I believe scientists have just copied those data from each other and could never find out how long ago some of those things took place. But other than that, I liked the book. Kind of what you would read for school or just to have a good overview.

In this enlightening and thoughtful book, the author succeeded in giving the reader a history that is full of dazzling insights into the nature of human experience, the evolution of civilization, and the culture of man. I enjoyed how this book allowed us to look back on the lives of so many great people. This has a lot to tell about the great events of the past, the conduct and the prospects of man and great ideas from those historical events. This book well presented the all those amazing themes from our past that can help us to understand our own era.

This book is amazing and fully loaded with tons of information about Human history. Here I have found tons of information about human history on the basis of fifty events. If you are a history lover or student then this will be perfect for you. Here I have found some clear overviews of ancient civilization to modern world in a wave of history. I was wondering by reading the first civilization history that happened in Mesopotamia. Here I have found some amazing events also and I am pretty sure if you read this book, then you will definitely enjoy it and of course your knowledge will increase. I was happy to get this book at the time of the discount period and this is my honest opinion about this book.

There is too much history to ever understand or know it all and let's face it we didn't really pay attention in high school. So I thought I would grab this book while it was free to help me understand history better. This book does a great job of pulling out the most important facts and keeping them very simple. It is by no means an in depth analysis, but does cover the majority of human history very succinctly. It helped fill in a lot of the gaps I was missing when connecting dots in history. Very helpful

I like reading history books and learn from them. The story of The Conquest, as it is known in England, began with the death of the old king of England, Edward the Confessor. Because King Edward had no sons to inherit his throne, a four-way conflict developed over who would become the next King of England. The English Witanagemot, the traditional council of nobles, chose   Harold Godwinson   as the new king.

An interesting list of Human History in 50 events, a really treasured history of the world. I really found this book to be an extremely enjoyable and informative book, this is a magnificently written, remarkable, view changing book. It is a good starting point to decide which parts you want to know more about in human history. I began to gain interest in several historical figures after reading this book. This is a must read for those who enjoy the history of the world.

Good historical overview of materials, interspersed with just enough scientific writing to keep the scientifically inclined layman interested. This book is a fascinating account of how civilization discovered and in turn was shaped by the most prosaic of things. This book provides a fascinating and accessible summary of how we, Homo sapiens, used tools and materials to develop the civilisation we now live in.And it contains how we evolve through time. This book is rich in giving history information about great people in thier time If you need to know more about how we being molds by the changes, this is the right book you must read.
