Let me start off by saying save yourself whatever the cost of this book is and buy the 9th edition. It's the exact same book and nearly 100% identical context as far my nursing class can tell. As of writing this, our class is 1/2 way through and there hasn't been any problems for the people using the old edition. In fact they actually have some added benefits we don't!The 9th edition is better because it comes with the answers to the problems at the end of the chapters and the answers in the workbook. So if you're like me, reading your material and trying to test yourself to see if you grasp these concepts, having the answers would be greatly beneficial. However upon contacting the publisher, they told me it wasn't available to students. Our instructor is a busy women and she shouldn't be burned any further to call these clowns because they won't give us the answers to the material we paid for. I get the reason behind this, but seriously I would never recommend this book based on that right there. Our teacher is going to get us the answers, because she feels its ridiculous as well.
She says it is exactly what she needed. The layout, flow and informational value are more than satisfactory. The condition of the book fit the description and we both feel we got more than our money's worth.
This book is overly, unnecessarily wordy. GET TO THE POINT. If you could EDIT the text, the 1,875 page textbook could likely be shortened by at least 25%. Oh, but then maybe you couldn't charge as much. It is an exercise in frustration reading this. Additionally, the workbook for this book-- in the 10th edition-- does NOT have answers. Try studying that way and see how it works out for you.Don't waste your money on that expensive addition to this monster of a book.
I love that this book came very protected and packaged well with my other items, That was fabulous. It's great reading so far before i read the 10th edition, so gives me a head up what to expect.Thanks :)
This book is totally unkind. Editing, pictures, table sheet, most of things are hard to understand. I found a similar book and now I am comfortable. Everything is better than this book. This book is just old tradition book. Pleae try other fresh book.
This textbook is huge and contains enormous amounts of valuable information. The depth, illustrations and graphics are excellent. Even if this is not the assigned textbook for your classroom, I advise student PNs to invest in this excellent textbook!
I hate the kindle version. There is no table of contents on the menu bar, which makes navigating extremely troublesome. Also table of contents should be more detailed.
it is a detailed book that covers a lot of things. It is also heavy so make sure you eat your Wheaties before tackling it.
