This book is a must-have for any nursing student. It's up-to-date information is thorough and concise. The illustrations and pictures are first-rate. The NCLEX review questions are helpful for current courses and prep for that very expensive test after graduation.
My Aunt is going to nursing school and I thought that this was the book she needed. WRONG!!!!! If you have the Foundations and Adult Health Nursing Book, this is great! But if you don't, this is practically worthless because it refers over and over again to the book - because it's JUST the study guide. Cannot be used on it's own. Just a warning.
Pretty straight forward; you read the chapter and then work from the study guide/workbook. It helps retain the information better. Helped me a lot during nursing school when our teacher handed out copies. I bought the book myself as a review mechanism.
This study guide has been a great follow up to the Foundations book! Every time I read a chapter in the book I follow up with the chapter review in the study guide. So far I haven't got less than a B! A must have!
This book helps you prepare for the exams you will be taking in class. It gives you that extra help in understanding what you learned in the other book. I highly recommend getting this to help you succeed in the health care field.
This is what you need for entry level nursing. I just started an LPN program and this is what we use in class. It is very easy to understand, it has great pictures, a DVD and tons of online resources to go along with the book. Its well worth the money. I RENTED the book untill my school provided them, and I got ALL OF MY MONEY BACK! Apparently, if you send the rented books back within 30 days, thats what happens! A full refund!
I did not like the book, doesnt have the answers for the practice questions and the chapter reviews are like 2 or 3 pages long, not enough, it was recommended by my profesor, but I didnt think it was helpful.
My book came in a timely fashion and has helpful page numbers if in need of finding answers you may not know off hand when using it with the hard back nursing book.
