The Walls Are Talking: Former Abortion Clinic Workers Tell Their Stories
Available To Downloads

This book narrates the harrowing and life-changing experiences of former abortion clinic workers, including those of the author, who once directed abortion services at a large Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas. These individuals, whose names have been changed to protect their identities, left their jobs in the abortion industry after experiencing a change of heart. They have come forward with their stories, not for fame or notoriety, but to shed light on the reality of abortion. They want their stories to change the lives of others for the better. These stories are difficult to read, because an abortion is an act of violence, harming not only the obvious victim--the unborn child-- but also the mother, the father, the doctor, and everyone else involved. But these stories also offer hope, for they show that anyone, no matter what part the person has played in an abortion, can start anew, can make amends for past mistakes. They demonstrate that the first step on that journey is telling the truth, as these courageous individuals do in these pages. "Those of us that have worked in the abortion industry all live with a constant burden. We can't let our burden slide off of our shoulders; it is what keeps us on fire. It reminds us of why we fight so hard. We have seen death and evil in a way that most haven't and we participated. But we are forgiven. He who has been forgiven much, loves much. And we love a lot. I am eagerly awaiting the day when we can call all abortionists and clinic workers former and repentant abortion providers." -- Abby Johnson, author "Abby Johnson has done a phenomenal job of gathering the experiences of those who have worked in the abortion industry. The movement of grace that brings them out of the industry is profound. The wounds that they carry remind us that the abortion debate is not a moral and philosophical discussion, but a heart issue! The walking wounded are everywhere and, as Abby concludes, it is love and respect that heals the heart." -- Vicki Thorn, Founder, Project Rachel "In this riveting, compelling book, Abby Johnson tenderly holds out a loving hand of compassion to those millions of Americans who've participated in an abortion and takes a giant step toward healing our abortion-wounded nation."

This is not easy to read simply due to subject matter but it gives the reader a look into what former abortion workers experienced, saw and did. I think it takes tremendous courage for them to come forward and share their stories. I am grateful.

"The Walls Are Talking" would probably be a fascinating read for someone who's pro-life, but not familiar with the narratives of former clinic workers. For someone who actively keeps up with the movement, however, this book is mostly a repetition of stories you've already read on LifeNews or Live Action News, or heard someone tell on YouTube.Abby Johnson took a long time to write this book, but I'm not sure why. Many of the stories in it are re-tellings of ones she's already written about online before. Though each story is written without naming the author, about half of them are by Johnson, which people familiar with her and her background will figure out pretty fast. I was able to determine the author of a different story because I previously watched a YouTube video she made, which makes me wonder - what exactly was the point of not differentiating between authors, and of not naming authors who have told these stories elsewhere under their real names? Why are these stories anonymous in this book when they aren't anonymous various places online?Abby Johnson's credibility has been questioned in the pro-choice movement and by some people in the pro-life movement as well. This book is not going to change anyone's mind on that topic, because without basics like names, places and dates, there's no way to show that they aren't entirely invented. (I don't believe they are, but if I did, there would be nothing here to prove me wrong.) The unverifiable nature of the stories give this book limited value for those on the fence about abortion, and the fact that several of them have been told before gives it limited value for people who follow the pro-life movement closely. For someone who knows they're against abortion but doesn't pay much attention to the movement, however, this is probably worth a read.

No one knows the ins and outs of the abortion industry like those who have worked in it. This is not an easy read, but it is real and it is something that needs to be exposed. Brace yourself for a serious reality check and call to action.

This book was absolutely riveting. I couldn't put it down and only forced myself to do so because I could not risk staying up all night. I have great admiration for the courage and honesty of the women who shared their stories and who recognize that they, through their silence, did not abide by the women they were tasked to help. There are warnings in the book that the content is graphic, but what struck me more was that it was not graphic, but made my brain feel twisted in a knot of confusion. We have been told repeatedly that abortion serves and liberates women. These stories illustrate that abortion serves the powerful - a coercive boyfriend, an abusive pimp, parents who want to avoid the shame of a pregnant daughter. Maria Montessori said that we are so deeply prejudiced against children that we do not recognize it. In this book I saw that we are so deeply prejudiced, that for our convenience, we do not even recognize children as human. And we have so sadly become women who will sacrifice our children for the convenience of the powerful, instead of defending them and ourselves, to the death like mother bears.

I have already read this book, and I knew it was not going to be an easy read. Having many friends and acquaintances that have worked in the abortion industry, I know that many of the stories featured in The Walls Are Talking are unfortunately not uncommon. The Walls Are Talking is indeed a necessary read, and prayer is indeed the first necessary call to action. Thank you to the contributors who courageously shared their stories.

Hard to imagine stories from inside the walls of different abortuaries by staff members who believed they were empowering women. Their various stories of what stirred their hearts and minds to become aware of the evil present around them everyday. The torment they personally experienced as well as the distancing of themselves from their reality in order to keep some sanity is repeated in many of their stories. We are now able to listen to those voices from abortion "clinic" employees who no longer believe abortion empowers women because the truth they witnessed.Just as we should educate ourselves on the history of the Holocaust, the genocides in Rwanda, Cambodia, Uganda, Scandinavia... we MUST educate ourselves to the largest holocaust (58 million in USA alone and counting) and targeted killing of our offspring, our babies and our future all in the name of "choice." The voices in this book illustrate the victimization of women and their family's through deception, coercion and lies.

Read this book. Abby does an excellent job of bringing together the stories that have occurred in Planned Parenthood clinics across the country. It is so important that people know and understand what is really going on behind closed doors. Not only to be aware of what is going on, but this book also does a great job of describing the best way to reach individuals who may feel stuck either working here or proceeding with an abortion when they feel there is "no other option". I wish I could buy enough copies to give to every person I ever met. Truly. Read this book.
