This book a must for new moms. Coming from a single mom, I know that's its hard and I wish my mom was able to read this book while I was young. It gave great tips on how to get prepared for being a single mom and good advice on the do's and don'ts. Deal with the financial aspect is tough, but this book is great guide on how to avoid some of those pitfalls.
While I don't know what it is like to be a single mom (since I am a man), there are several people in my family and close network of friends that are single mothers. I wanted to read this book to see how I could be a help to them. I really don't think that most people realize how hard it is to be a single mom and to raise good kids in today's environment. I really liked how this book covered so many aspects of the single mom experience, focusing mainly on how to be a good mother. It talked about how to deal with the issue of the missing parent, as well as how to effectively manage the household and take care of your family financial. This book has some really good advice.
I have a good friend of mine that is going through a divorce so she is about to be a single mom. I bought this book to read so maybe I would have an inkling of an idea of what she is about to experience as a single mom. From financial and emotional woes to adding a new man into the child’s life, the book covers a lot of important topics. I really enjoyed it and will be passing it along.
