This book is a must read for all expat Indians. It traces the story of Peggy Mohan's family from India to Trinidad over a century ago. I have always been curious about the Trinidad Indians who have managed to hold on to their language and culture even though they left India long ago. This extremely well written book explains how they managed to do that and also raise themselves from bonded laborers to productive members of society. Thank you, Peggy for a well researched book on this Indian diaspora!
A good historical perspective.
