Very difficult to navigate. It would not download to my regular kindle, only to my phone, making it too small to read. It was a waste of money for me. If I could get a credit for it and return it I would.
This is a college textbook covering the development of human beings from birth to death. It defines and discusses all of the developmental theories by noted experts such as Freud, Erikson, Watson, and many more. The book's typeset is a bit small, so if you are visually challenged I'd recommend a copy with larger print. I am extremely disappointed in the bookseller, Daily Deal, an contracted bookseller. I ordered the book on January 2, 2014. I purposely chose a bookseller based in Washington where I reside.. I needed the book for class which began on the 7th. I checked the box for "expedited shipping" and was charged an additional fee for it. It is now 1/13/14 and I still have not received the book. The fact that Daily Deal is based in Washington state AND had the book in stock, I should have had it in a few days, which always happens when i buy directly from .com. When i contacted Daily Deal asking why I'd not received the book yet, they told me "it's in transit". A lot of good that does me. They never offered to return my "expedited" shipping charge. No apologies at all. So, if you need your book for class, be sure you order 30 days ahead. My suggestion would be to go elsewhere.
I bought this book for a class. I didn't really like the push the book gave for me to become involved with the online features. But I learned a lot in this course about life span, so mission accomplished!
This book is NOT compatible with the kindle app using a tablet using windows 8. No disclaimer telling so. found out after it successfully downloaded, once I tried to open it.. got the pop up.. Thanks >(
Great illustrations to reinforce the reading. Text is not difficult to understand and is good for learning human development for the first time.
I am taking a developmental psychology class in college and I really like this book because it helps me understand the subject matter better!
Book is written clearly for easier reading, but the one I rented look like a dog chewed on it.
