I wish I would've had this before my daughter was born. Purchased for use in starting to prepare myself for homeschooling my daughter (preschool). But it really gives all the developmental milestones for each stage from birth the whole way through. As a pediatric nurse, I know a lot of the milestones, however, that doesn't mean I know how to help get the children to that milestone! But this book has helped. It gives suggestions on how to help. This will be going on my 'homeschool mom' resource shelf!
I borrowed this book to read and found it very helpful. It is easy to read and understand. I have read other books on parenting and child development before but this book tops all others, and is so encouraging as for parent who is concerned about his child's development. Every parent should read it! It changed a lot how I view my child and it definitely changed expectations towards my child. This book helped me to be more loving and helpful parent for my child rather than stressed out and constantly worrying. I'm seriously considering translating it into my native language and sending it to my sisters, cousins, and friends.
Easy to read, reference, and use on a daily basis planning activities for infant through preschool. There is a lot of information packed into a small amount of space. I really like the formatting of this book.
I first ran into this book when I was taking a college course in Early Childhood Development. It was a required text book. At the end of the class I bought them from my classmates. I have given all of them away over the years. With 2 new babies in the family I was pleased to find them.An excellent book.
