Most of the words I have looked up, were't even in there. This was definitely a waste of money. I have a very old Roget's Thesaurus, and I find myself still using it, even though I have to use a large magnifying glass. I had hoped to leave my magnifying glass behind, but I had to dust it off.
Not all of the words of the English Language were covered.As a writer I was looking for more detail. Sorry I am usually very pleased with your stock.
The Thesaurus does have very large, easy to read print, however because of this many simple words are left out of the thesaurus. It gives you only about one word and leaves it up to you to look up the word. After looking up the word, you are given another word to look up...and so on, and so on. It is frustrating, to say the least.
I was surprised just how large the print was. I would recommend for those that have eye problems. What I find is the enormous amount of small print in books. This book is easy to read.
This reference book is a MUST for the visually impaired . Whether you are a student or a person wanting to improve one's vocabulary , you need look no further than this book . The hard cover edition contains more references than it's paperback version and hurts ten times as much when used as a Weapon of Mass Destruction , by a pissed off g-friend during her'time'of the month !
Easy to read even without my glasses. I was going to buy a soft cover, but I purchased the hard cover because it will handle wear and tear longer.Just what i needed.Thank you to the publisher for thinking of us who have a hard time reading small print.
This was a gift, and although the person really liked the book and is what he wanted, I was a little disappointed that the hard cover on the book was bent.
I gave this book to charity. It was organized in categories, which I hate, instead of alphabetically which allows one quicker and easier answers.
