This volume is one of the superlative thesauruses. There are numerous entries, phrases and senses. Each entry has 'key synonyms' for rapid access to its multiple senses. That helps learners understand how a thesaurus works... A really impressive feature.
It has an entry for every word. It gives you the anonymous and the antonymous. i actually like it more than the dictionary. because when you know what you want to say but you need the right word to express it, then this is the book you need to use.
I have this book opened by my computer as I write essays and longer narratives. It is superior to any thesaurus I've ever used previously. All in alphabetical order, the alternate words are many, providing several options as one searches for just the correct word. There are 1021 pages of word choices, followed by another 141 pages called a "Thematic Section" which offer even more word choice based on specific themes, such as "Being and Not Being", "Time, Duration, and Speed", and "Change and Transformation". Reading from the dust jacket, I see there are 40,000 A-Z listings, with 350,000 synonyms and antonyms. A superb thesaurus printed on superior thin, white, paper.
