Easy to read and understand. Well written. I bought this when I got a nurse job on a Neuro unit that mainly treats stroke patients. I had no prior experience or knowledge in taking care of stroke patients and this book really helped me to get familiar with the important and common things associated with strokes.

Amazingly helpful in prepping for stroke certification!!! Couldn't be happier. Well written, easy to read and retain. Hits all the key areas of the exam.

I'm studying for my SCRN and this is a great resource to start with. It covers basic anatomy and physiology, and basic information about stroke. I highly recommend this as a refresher prior to buying the Comprehensive Stroke Review book from AANN.

I am a SCRN! I read this book first before I did my other studying and I found that it covered most of the topics I saw on the exam and it explained them well. I highly recommend this book.

Have not finished it yet, but impressed with it so far. It is concise and easy to read.Seem's to be a good resource for nurses taking care of stroke patients. Also good for review when preparing for SCRN certification exam.

Great resource with extensive insights to stroke risks, symptoms, prompt identification, and treatments. The reference source is formatted for ease in use. The material is detailed and explains things well. As a nurse who does not work in this focus area, I found it an invaluable resource when my father had a stroke. It would also make a good resource for caregivers and family members, although some material would be higher level but they could google more simplistic resources to understand the terms, etc. intended for medical professionals. I would recommend this highly for either nurses or health care providers this specialty area or those who may need this information for family or other stroke-centered care...

This book is written in a way that you can remember key points especially if you are preparing for the SCRN. I have started reading it and I already know it is a great investment and will be in my reference library even after I do my exam. A friend of mine who just passed the SCRN said this book was the most helpful when studying for the exam.

EXCELLENT RESOURCE FOR AN OLD GIRL COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT TO TRY ANOTHER ARENA IN HEALTH CARE. IN MY CASE I AM JUST STARTING TO LEARN HOSPICE AND ENJOYING IT. IN SUCH I COME IN CONTACT WITH ALL TYPES OF INFIRMARY.
