I learned a very simple method for interpreting ABG's; and it's in a video online at that very big website that ends with '***tube'. Just search for ABG interpretation tic-tac-toe. You'll have it down perfect in 15 minutes.
I found the book an interesting read. Very basic, but quite well done, reminded me of a few forgotten titbits. Only the person reading it can determine whether this book satisfies their requirements. There are a few minor mistakes and typos, but the case study of the patient with diabetic ketoacidosis has major conceptual mistakes.
This is an easy to understand book about ABG's. The problem is that when there is an ABG to diagnose it doesn't show up on the Kindle,it just has a blank space where you should be reading it. I think it is missing the main point by not being able to read the actual ABG. Everything else about the book is good.
this is a great book on ABGs. Just what I was looking for as a nurse a good basic review. This would be awesome in nursing schools. He takes a subject most people make more difficult then it needs to be and teaches it in a way all can understand. A sign of a great teacher.
It doesn't get any simpler than this. The book is funny, entertaining, and explains things perfectly. And it's very short, which is great for those in a time crunch (most of us). This guy should write more medical books. Very helpful book.
Very easy to understand, its a little child like. I got this book to help was alittle helpful but not what I was really looking for.
WOW this is such a great reference for those who need a basic foundation in understanding how the body work and the acid-base balance connection for maladaption and illness, and health. The information continues to build on more difficult to understand material but it does so while NEVER leaving the reader behind. I really LOOOOVVVEEE and appreciate this book, and the writers approach, and you will too.Happy Learning everyone:)
The sarcastic way in which the information was presented was a an attempt to keep the reader entertained. Just not my way of learning is all so it didn't work well at all for me.
