I picked this book up at the Academy meeting, and all I can say is BRAVO! I've used the older version of this book and the Chern/Wright question book for OKAPs in the past, but this book blows them away. It is much more "board-like" in the setup of the questions compared to the older edition. It is also much more current than the other books. The photos are great, and there are a lot of them. The last chapter is all mnemonics and high-yield facts, good for last minute cramming. There is also an online component that I haven't tried yet; but I'm hoping it simulates the computerized written boards!
Just got the new version of this review manual and I have to say, it is an awesome OKAP/board review manual! I have read many different review manuals over the years including the previous version of this one and this is definitely the best so far. It has new questions from the last one and then format is ideal for residents/physicians preparing for boards. Highly recommend
This is definitely a must-have for the OKAPs. The questions are well written, and explanations are thorough, not to mention the number of pictures included - which you won't find in a lot of Q&A books! The high yield facts and mnemonics are definitely helpful for last minute cramming.
If you're looking for a great review book for okaps or boards, you won't be disappointed. The updated MEEI question book is far superior to the previous version, and I found the questions in this one to be more reflective of okaps/boards than the Chern question book. Definitely worth it.
I am currently using this book to study for boards. I have to say this is greatly improved from the version I used in residency. I have to give this book an A+. The pictures are great and the new format is awesome!!!
I just finished my residency and have been through all the main question/reviews books (Chern Question book, Provision series, Previous Mass Q book, Friedman)....I have to say this is the best and most up to date out of all of them. Ophthalmology books are really lacking when it comes to up to date and helpful questions books. This one is great for both OKAPs and Boards review. I am using it for boards and am really liking it. Definitely worth the buy!
Just fantastic! I don't want to give away the 4th chapters surprise but bring your tonopen and some cherry limeaid it's gonna be a long night when you can't put this one down!
I like that it is text-to-speech enabled. But it needs to have questions hyperlinked to the answers for when I'm reading it myself.
