Teaching how to read complex text just got a lot easier for middle school teachers. This book is full of reproducibles to help students understand such concepts as bias, point of view, inference, and credibility. Use this book to introduce and begin work on these topics or to review them. The book contains ideas for games and group activities and includes recommended reading lists.
It's okay resource. Purchased this resource and "Common Core: Elements of Literature" to supplement Rod & Staff English curriculum for 7th & 8th graders. Really searched and searched for textbook similar in structure to R&S on literature but never found one so settled on these two.What you get are worksheets that have a bit of text explaining a concept with questions...not a good way to learn a concept from my way of thinking..but it will do if you supplement with other resources.
