I use this for my intermediate-to-advanced ESL vocabulary class, It has consistently great words and great exercises. Chapters each have ten words. First the author uses each word in two sentences. Then, students are given definitions and are asked to write the appropriate word next to each definition, This is followed by three progressively more difficult fill-in-the-blank exercises.
This is a good book to quickly learn vocabulary and use it in our daily communication in order to make our communication appear more elegant. This book was delivered to me within one day and that was really amazing.
This a great book to introduce students to new words. It allows them to use different techniques to finding the definitions for the words. I also use the words for a spelling test, and each section of the different chapters get more difficult as they go!
After attending a workshop for Adult Education and getting the teacher's manual for both these books,I decided they would be perfect for activities in my job.Activities are similar for each lesson, but varied enough to appeal to almost all learners.These workbooks are an excellent addition to ABE.
I have been on a self improvement thing for a while now. I never got to go to college but I still am interested in learning.This book has helped me with my vocab and most of the words are ones you can ligitimately use in converstation without looking like you are trying too hard.
This is the text book I had been looking for.I think I can build my vocabulary with fun with easily.
It was a good deal and exactly what I needed. What's the use of paying expensive prices for school books when you can get better deals on , even with new books?
