A great companion for studying Physical Examination. If you're trying to cram for your NCLEX, the questions posed in this test book are incredibly helpful. I was able to score better on my practice exam after studying from this Test Bank!
This question bank is a perfect companion for the Bates Physical Examination Book as well as great for giving you situational advice. I thought the chapter on Behavior and Mental Status was especially helpful for knowing how to accurately work with the patients that are harder to deal with. The fact that the book provided situational questions makes me more confident in not just acing the test but to be able to be more prepared to work in real life situations. This is a very useful guide to help you study for your nursing exams and feel prepared for other tests.
I like how this book peppers you with questions that are helpful studying questions that might be on my NCELX next summer. I like the large testbank of questions included in this and once your done with the book you can start all over again. I use to awkwardly struggle with practice interviewing and health history and I feel I have a good handle on it now. I have practiced taking "health histories" on a few family and friends and it's getting easier after using this book and applying the information and test questions to practical uses.
I've never been a good test taker but this test bank has really given me a lot of confidence about taking my exams. Being able to practice with these various assessments helped me identify where I'm weakest so I know what to study further on. The detailed explanations were especially helpful, particularly on the ones I got wrong. This has given me a more clear picture of what I need to work on as well as the areas I've got a solid understanding of.
This book focuses on RN and exams like NCLEX when Bates PE 11th edition is for NP and med students. There is a book called Bates nurses guide to PE that is for RN students which I think these questions are more appropriate meant for.
Not only is this test bank poorly written, but it HAS THE WRONG TITLE Bates' guide to physical examination and history taking 11th ed. is meant for NP students. This test bank is clearly for ASN nursing students. Don't waste your money.
This is a great test bank for nursing health assessment, it is not as useful for advanced primary care health assessment.
