I didn't have a choice about the book as it was the Required textbook for the class. It does have some errors in it. Not sure if that is on purpose or not to see if the student is paying attention? Biggest is the 2 types of disease. There are useful features also. Each chapter has a list of important words to be covered in that chapter. You're personal knowledge of these terms depends upon your background knowledge of medical terms. Some students know them well while others don't as they are new to the medical field. There are also many photos showing the student how to do something. I don't think the book is well organized as in my class we didn't go from one chapter to the next, but jumped around a bit. I wasn't that impressed with the book. Oh! A word of warning, stay away from the workbook companion. It sucks!
Not a bad textbook despite a few mistakes I've found. (e.g. book lists two types of infectious disease: communicable and noncommunicable...wrong) Overall though, the content is informative and includes plenty of photos that demonstrate proper care method, clean technique, and so on. Word of advice: skip the matching workbook. It's absolutely worthless.
This item was exactly as described and arrived quickly. I would highly recommend this seller. As far as the content of the book, this is required reading for a class so I didnt have the option of choosing another author.
I bought this book for a CNA course. I did not like this book. It was adequate, but hopefully someone will come up with a better format and workbook for CNA courses.
Need more work on organization. Instead of just listing info, if the contents were prioritized in the order of importance for the certification exam, it would have been more helpful.
